Never say goodbye

She wanders the paths of today into an unknown tomorrow, filled with an unquenchable grief. In so many ways, she wishes death would sweep over her, and her life will be over. Life is pain. If it wasn’t known that her afterlife would not be a safe haven, she would probably slit her wrists, and let go on a quiet summer twilight. In her eyes, the pieces of her life are unfit for this time and realm. Lost in the thoughts of what could come next, she plans to never say goodbye to the people she loves, and the ones that will not remember her passing. They say that everyone has a chapter that they don’t read out loud. Somehow, people live to change other, oppress others into thinking that they are not good enough.

She is at the shore of that rocky beach again.  She is tired of life. She is tired of people.

She is scarred by a past she can’t let go. She thinks she is damaged at best, not worthy of the light.

“I am not worthy of the light.” She tells herself,  “I will carry on in my torment.” How does she forgive herself for the good things she did not do. How does she forgive herself for letting all the good things she carries within die? How does she tell God that she is sorry she let Him down? Every time she looks up at the light, she is lost in the torment of her misery, and shame, and all the reminders of the lost. She is lost in the image that she can’t live up to.

Sincerely Yours…
